A member advises us about recieving a text message claiming that payment was required to continue a service. The text asked for bank details to be sent back by text so that the payment could be claimed. Our member did nothing of the kind of course but let us know to warn others of such text messages.
Here is information received from the Crimestoppers organisation about callers falsley claiming to be involved with Crimestoppers. We have not had any reports of it happening in our area yet.
